Spring Race Camp Training

Such a wonderful last three days. I was at Sunday River, Maine participating in a spring racing camp. The first day we did Giant Slalom in the morning and a small Super G course in the afternoon. The next day we did a longer Super G course with the option of starting lower and working our way up, and then in the afternoon we did more Gian Slalom training. Today we worked in the morning on some slalom training.

I had such a great time, and really saw some improvement in my self while being there. Im really excited and have more excitement about going out to nationals in a week.

After a fantastic and also a very thrilling weekend I have really gotten very excited for my up coming events and travels. I competed in a Level 1 race held in Vermont on Saturday and had some really good times. I was able to see some pictures that friends and family took of the race and I could see an improvement on my ability to be early set up for the gate and also the ability to finish my turn just below the gate so that I could be prepared for the next gate.

I hope to participating in a two day camp at Sunday River in Maine on the 18Th and 19Th. The hopes for this camp is to work on more techniques for race courses in both Giant Slalom and Slalom Races.

A couple days after the camp I will then be traveling to Winter Park Colorado for the Disabled Nationals. I am very excited about going back out to Winter Park Colorado and competing again this season. I will be competing against some of the same racers that I competed with back in December when I was out racing at both Copper Mountain for Ski Spectacular and also at Winter Park for the Winter Park Open.
