On Sunday Morning I got to see my new mono ski for the first time it was awsome. My Praschburger mono ski a voilte purple. I got a set of royal blue outriggers to match. I got to ski my new mono ski all of my trip to Ski Spectacular in Breckenridge Colorado. It was amazing can't wait to come back home and get to work on a few more things to make it even better.

I raced my Copper races in my revolution to have more confience for the 4 days. I am looking forward to being able to race in more time in my new Praschburger mono ski. I had a great 4 days. I raced 3 races 1 Giant Slalom and 2 Slalom races. Each race I had a better time then the previous day and even each run got better and better as the week went on.

I would like to thank Jason for coming out and coaching me for the Copper race.

Well it has been a busy few weeks. I had my green belt Shiai with Sensei Jon Bottomms on October 28, 2010. Followed by an Incrediable Spaghetti Dinner hosted by Kathy Dockum, Kati Murphy and Julie Williams on October 29, 2010. What an expereience for both events. Meeting so many people who want to help me be successful in my racing career from my home town and surounding towns and neighbors.

Well its fall now and I have had a busy summer.

This summer I went to the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York for a 3 day camp hosted by DSUSA. I learned a lot of new stretches this year while at the camp. Met a great group of people and got a lot of new information on how to make my self a better Athlete.

When I got back from the Camp, I started a part time job which allowed me to save money for a new mono ski. I have been training with Jon Bottomms at the Vermont Country Store's gym 3 times a week. We have been doing a variety of different exercises and cardio training as well. Back in June, Jon got contacted by the Vermont Special Olympics committee to do a demonstration of the Martial Arts System and show that it could be done by many different athletes. Jon asked me to participate in the demonstration with him because I am a sitting athlete and there are many different techniques that can be used for someone who isn't able to stand.

After helping Jon with the demonstration I was approached by my local town of Bennington to help coach the athletes for the stand up soccer season, so I have been volunteering to do that ones a week with the skills group. We work on moving the ball down the field with out a lot of interception by other players and help them build confidence to be able to go out and play in the game for the following year.

I have also volunteered to do a little bit of kayaking and cycling demonstrations with the Bart Center in Manchester this summer to get more out in the community.

I have been riding my hand cycle with a group of guys out of Manchester and Bennington area weekly, and now I am looking forward to my new mono ski coming in December and getting ready for ski season.

Spring

The weather is beatiful and my spring training is up and going. I have been back out on my handcycle and at the gym. I have started taking a Martial Arts & Kabox class to go along with my strength training weekly. I am really looking forward to a great summer. On May 13th I will be attempting to take my test for my Yellow belt in the Phoenix Martial Arts System. I am very excited about trying.

To wrap up my winter. I stayed very consistent with my weekly races and really worked hard in gates every week. Looking forward to next season.
